Vacuuming Your Pay Weekly Carpets

Daily vacuuming will help your carpet look great for years to come. You can vacuum your new carpet as soon as it is laid, without causing any harm to it. A new carpet contains some short fibres, which will easily be removed by vacuuming. It is important to note that the number of fibres may look like a dramatic amount in the first week of vacuuming. But the reality is it is only a small portion of the pile weight and will not affect the carpet in any way! 

Spills 

The faster you respond to a spill or stain, the more likely you can get it out. Remember never rub or over-wet your carpet when trying to remove a mark, as rubbing will roughen and untwist the pile. Liquid spillages should be blotted as fast as possible with a clean cloth or tissue. Only use a stain remover if you have no other choice, and only use a stain remover recommended for your carpet! 

 

Snags

When you see a snag or pull in your carpet, resist the urge to pull them. Instead, use a pair of sharp kitchen scissors to cut the snag. After, just simply run your hand over the trimmed area to help blend the cut fibres back into the carpet!
